It seems to me that it is most often the simple things that give us the most pleasure. I found a set of these vintage Romanian glasses at a yard sale. They have a slight grey tint. They are the perfect thinness and the size is JUST PERFECT for my hand. And ya know, my juice tasted even better in it!

WHAT A LOVELY SUNDAY!
I had a really wonderful day yesterday, filled with wonderful calls and wishes from friends and family. The hubby made a delicious lunch with many of the ingredients from our little garden. I LOVE to eat outside, so despite the heat (90's and humid), we set up a lovely little scene. We were surprised and delighted to be joined by our neighbors!
Added one of my obsessions, fresh Hydrangeas from the garden.
Some of my favorite china...easy-care, DISHWASHER SAFE Blue Willow! (I Love the real thing as well, but it is too much work!)
Received an absolutely AMAZING gift from a dear friend!!!
Drove down to Murrell's Inlet and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant in the area, The Blue Elephant.
And we ended the day with red velvet cake and a visit from my brother! Easy, relaxing, filled with love...I could not have asked for a better day!

Check out these posts!
Did a little surfing this morning and fell in LUV with two, albeit rather different, interior design posts. Both are AMAZING and totally INSPIRING!
The first is today's post at desiretoinspire.net featuring the brilliant work of Chris Dyson and his team. His site is so worth a stop! P.S. I'm moving in with whomever lives in the room below!
The second AWESOME space is the home of Judy Aldridge of the blog Atlantis Home. Her space is just as incredible as the glimpses of her life that her blog allows. Crazy good!!
P.S. The related FDLuxe article is worth the read...talks a little about the treasures! Always a bonus!!

In The Garden
Good things are happening in the garden! HUMONGOUS cucumbers!
Peppers..that need to turn RED! Had a little trouble with that last year!
ZUCS! These HAVE to be misted with liquid calcium to avoid squash blossom rot. If you have better ideas, I would LOVE to hear them! I need help with these!
Tomatoes, that self-seeded!
A yummy looking new yellow pepper to try!
Creative re-use! Do not despair, the club was already broken!
And, peppers that I grew from seed and cilantro! This pot smells like salsa!!! Wish I had that smell button!

NEW BEDROOM COLOR!!!!!
Well, we finally got around to painting our bedroom...which really means that I finally convinced the hubby to help me. We chose a really beautiful earthen grey that changes throughout the day in a very pleasing way.(Sherwin-Williams Morris Room Grey) And we love the results!
We've painted many rooms before, but with every job, you learn something new. Like the fact that paint needs about 3 weeks to cure. That translates into no wall clean-ups or you are left with a mark. You might ask...why would you need to clean a freshly painted wall??? Oh I don't know, maybe you have a big black Lab mix who manages to shake his head and throw slobber, aka cooper-glue, all the way to the ceiling!!! And you aren't willing to listen to the man behind the paint store counter and jail your adorable, spoiled pup in the garage for 3 weeks! So we have covered the most frequently soiled spots with plastic and furniture.
